Bend Resident Arrested For Exposing Himself Multiple Times Over Seven Months. (Photo) - 12/09/16

NEWS RELEASE Bend Police Department Date: Friday, December 09, 2016 Case # 2016-104770 2016-284542 2016-312200 2016-303710 2016-364675 Date & Time of Incident: April 16 to December 7, 2016 Type of Incident: Public Indecency Location of Incident: 150 NE Bend River Mall (Dollar Tree), NE 7th/NE Greenwood, 424 NE Greenwood (Regroup Thrift Store), 3188 North Highway 97 (TJ Maxx) and 211 NE Revere (Blockbuster). Suspect: David Walker Littlehale Adult male 32 year old Bend resident Victim: Multiple victims. All adult or juvenile females. Updated Narrative: On December 7, the Bend Police Department responded to 211 NE Revere (Blockbuster Video) for the report of a male who had exposed himself inside the store. Officers were able to identify the suspect as David Walker Littlehale. As the investigation continued, officers were able to determine Littlehale matched the description of the previously reported exposures at TJ Maxx and the Regroup Thrift Store. Officers made multiple attempts to contact Littlehale, but did not find him. Officers learned Littlehale was associated with a white Toyota Corolla, with Oregon License 507 GKT. On December 9, Littlehale learned law enforcement wanted to speak with him and he contacted officers at the Bend Police Department. During the subsequent investigation, Littlehale was found to have been the person responsible for exposing himself in the current investigation (Blockbuster), the two previously reported incidents (TJ Maxx and Regroup Thrift Store) and two additional reports. On April 16, officers took a report of a person exposing themselves inside of the Dollar Tree, located at 150 NE Bend River Mall. On October 11, Officers took another report of a male exposing himself inside a vehicle at NE 7th and NE Greenwood. Based on the report from Blockbuster and the descriptions received from the effected citizens, officers were able to tie multiple incidents to Littlehale. Littlehale has been arrested and charged with five counts of Public Indecency (Felony). One charge for each of the five reported and investigated incidents since April. There are currently further incidents regarding exposures under investigation. Officers and Detectives with the Bend Police Department are following up on information at this time. Littlehale was lodged at the Deschutes County Jail on December 9 for five counts of Public Indecency (Felony). Narrative (Original): The Bend Police Department responded to the report of a male exposing himself in the clothing area of TJ Maxx on October 18th. At 3:00pm, officers responded to 3188 North Highway 97 for an employee reporting a male had exposed himself in close proximity of a female customer in the store. The customer ran to the rear of the store and contacted an employee for assistance. The employee called Bend Police, but the suspect left the area prior to the arrival of officers. Officers obtained a description of the suspect. The male suspect was described as being 5'10" tall, medium build, sandy blonde hair, having a goatee and wearing eye glasses. The description on this suspect was similar to another suspect in a separate incident on September 23. On this date, Bend Police responded to 424 NE Greenwood for the report of a male suspect exposing his genitalia in a sexual manner. The suspect did this in the presence of a female customer and did not stop or leave until he was told law enforcement had been notified. Bend Police obtained security footage of the male suspected of exposing himself. The suspect involved in the incident at 424 NE Greenwood is described as being 5'9"- 5'11" tall, thin build with sandy blonde hair and wearing eye glasses. We have attached two photographs for reference. Although similar, we cannot tie both incidents together at this time. We are waiting for further information that will help us determine if these incidents are connected.
