At approximately 11:24 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21, Bend Police responded to a report from Deschutes County Parole & Probation officers that a man wanted on a warrant out of Idaho was inside a home in the 900 block of NE Francis Court.
Responding officers learned the suspect had a nationwide warrant out of Ada County (Idaho) for domestic battery. The suspect, identified as 46-year-old Bryan Paul Hill, was also wanted by Bend Police on suspicion of first-degree burglary, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and two restraining order violations related to a September incident.
Officers surrounded the home and were able to get two other people out of the home, but Hill refused to exit for more than four hours, despite officers advising over a loud speaker that he was under arrest. The Central Oregon Emergency Response Team responded to the scene, and a large police presence was in the area.
After extensive negotiations, Hill agreed to leave the residence.
At approximately 3:49 p.m., he exited the residence and was taken into custody without incident. He was arrested and transported to the Deschutes County Jail on suspicion of the above offenses.
