UPDATE: One Arrested In September Dispute Involving Firearm -12/05/24
UPDATE: After an extensive police investigation, Bend Police and the Central Oregon Emergency Response Team on Thursday served a search warrant and made an arrest in the shots fired case from September.
Bend Police and CERT arrested Lawrence Branden Rodriguez, 29 and of Bend, at his apartment in the Stillwater Crossing complex. Officers served a search warrant at the apartment, seizing multiple firearms and ammunition.
Rodriguez was arrested on suspicion of unlawful use of a weapon, felon in possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of firearms, first-degree harassment and second-degree menacing.

Incident: Shots fired after dispute

Offenses: Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Menacing, Aggravated Harassment
At approximately 10:15 p.m. on Sunday, Bend Police responded to a report of a weapons offense near the intersection of Romaine Village Way and Ridge Drive.
The victim reported that he’d been driving a golf cart away from his business when he saw a man and woman on a nearby private property. According to the victim, he pointed a flashlight in their direction and told them to leave the property. There was a dispute about trespassing, and as the victim drove away the man fired two shots. Two 9mm casings were found at the scene.
There was a large police presence in the area as officers investigated the incident.
