Bend Police Department Names New Communications Manager (Photo)

Bend, Ore. -- The Bend Police Department is pleased to welcome Sheila Miller to its team as Communications Manager. This newly created position will work with the media and handle other external communications for the Department.
Going forward, all media requests will pass through Sheila’s office. She can be reached at 541-410-7793 or via email at bendpolicePIO@bendoregon.gov. In addition, during evenings and weekends, the media can contact the non-emergency line at 541-693-6911 to request contact from a watch commander.
Lt. Juli-Ann McConkey, who has served as the Department’s public information officer for the past three years, will transition to serve as Lieutenant in charge of investigations in the coming weeks.
Lt. Brian Beekman will take on new duties as an Administrative Lieutenant, including working with Sheila in communications and public relations.
