OSP Trooper Arrested For DUII (Photo) - 02/11/22

Date and Time: Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 11:08 pm

Type of Incident: DUII 

Arrested: Lewis A. Topinka 40 year old male, Bend, Oregon

 

On Thursday, February 10, 2022 a Bend Police officer was on routine patrol around 11:08 pm, in Downtown Bend. The officer conducted a traffic stop on a pickup truck driven by Lewis Topinka, after he drove through a blinking red light without stopping. 

During the investigation, it was confirmed Lewis Topinka is employed as an Oregon State Police Trooper. 

Lewis Topinka was issued a citation in lieu of custody for Driving While Under the Influence of Intoxicants, which is consistent with current Deschutes County Adult Jail COVID protocols and practice.
