Bend Man Arrested On Multiple Charges Following A Traffic Stop - 01/27/22

On January 27, 2022 at 3:06 PM, a Bend Police officer conducted a routine traffic stop on a male driving a green Suburban near Hunnell Road and Highway 97. The male stopped his vehicle in the Lowes parking lot, gave a false name, and attempted to flee on foot. The male was detained and identified as Jeffry Dale Williams Sr., who had multiple warrants for his arrest.
With the assistance of Bend Police K9 “Ladybug”, Bend Police officers located over a quarter pound of Methamphetamine, over a half ounce of Heroin, a loaded handgun, stolen property, and $359 cash in the vehicle.
Williams Sr. was arrested and transported to the Deschutes County Jail where he was booked on Driving Under the Influence of Drugs, Possession of Heroin-Felony, Attempted Delivery of Heroin, Possession of Methamphetamine-Felony, Attempted Delivery of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm X2 (felon in possession, carrying concealed), False Information to Police-Traffic, and three In-State Warrants.
