Victim: Juvenile male
Arrested: Zachary G. Mathews, 42 year old male, Bend
On Saturday, November 20th at 1:05 p.m. Bend Police were dispatched to the 200 block of NE Hawthorne Avenue for a dispute. It was determined that Zachary Mathews was holding a rock, walking towards a juvenile male and his family while yelling racial slurs at the juvenile. Officers arrived on scene and contacted Zachary Mathews as he was walking away from them. He was arrested for Disorderly Conduct II and Bias Crime I and lodged at the Deschutes County Jail.
