Victim/RP: 44 year old male, Bend, Oregon (Reporting Party)
On Wednesday, August 20th, 2020 at approximately 7:00 pm officers from the Bend Police Department received a report of a stabbing at the Hawthorne Bus Station located at 334 NE Hawthorne Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that a stabbing did not occur. Officers conducted an investigation and learned that the RP, who is a Paratransit Services driver contracted to provide service for COIC Cascade East Transit, had ordered Allstot off of the bus for passenger rule violations. Officers discovered that during the interaction between the RP and Allstot, Allstot had attempted to draw a large, approximately 10”, knife(photo attached). A physical altercation ensued ending with Allstot being physically removed from the bus by the RP. Once outside, a verbal altercation continued, and at some point Allstot again pulled his knife and threatened the RP with it. During the altercation it was reported that Allstot spat on the RP.
When Bend Police officers arrived on scene the altercation had already ended and the parties were separated. Officers developed probable cause to arrest Allstot for the below charges. Allstot was taken into custody and transported to the Deschutes County Jail.
There were no injuries reported during this incident.
This case is still under investigation, additional questions should be directed to the Deschutes County District Attorney’s Office.
