On 6-28-20 at about 2256 hours, Bend Police Officers were dispatched to an armed robbery that had just occurred at Lucy's Taco Shop.   It was reported that the suspect was armed with a gun and demanded cash.  The suspect was described as a Hispanic female who was wearing a mask and fled the scene with an unspecified amount of money.  Officers began searching the area for the suspect, but were unable to locate her. Through video surveillance, Police learned the female suspect was armed with a handgun at the time of the robbery. She was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, with the hood up. The sweatshirt had distinct writing written across the chest area. The female was determined to be unknown ethnicity, with a dark complexion, and between 5’0” and 5’3”.  Bend Police Officers and Detectives began working on possible leads in the case.

On 7-1-20 at about 2247 hours, a Bend Police Officer was on routine patrol in the area of Lucy’s Taco Shop. The Officer observed several employees flee the store chasing a subject that matched the description from the previous robbery, eastbound on NE Irving Ave.  The Officer gave chase while other units arrived in the area. The suspect was located behind a storage area of a business at NE 4th and NE Irving. She was taken into custody without incident. She was in possession of a handgun, cash, and electronics. The female was wearing the same distinct clothing she had been wearing during the previous robbery.

Officers learned the suspect had re-entered Lucy’s Taco shop on 7-1-20, and again robbed it at gunpoint. She threatened an employee with the handgun and stole cash, a credit card reader, and a cell phone.  Employees attempted to follow the suspect when she fled, then observed the officer in the area.

The suspect was identified as Miller-Warner. Miller-Warner was lodged on the above listed charges.
