Arrest And Search Warrant For Car Break-in And Theft - 04/10/20

Execution of Search Warrant

Case:              2020-74191

Date:               April 9, 2020

Time:              1:00pm

Location:        2140 NE Moonlight #2 Bend, OR

Suspect:        Isaac Brewster  18-year-old

                        Bend Resident

Investigation:

On April 7, 2020 the Bend Police Department began investigating the fraudulent use of a credit card which had been stolen out an unlocked vehicle in northwest Bend the previous night.  Through investigative leads officers determined the suspect was Isaac Brewster.  Brewster was located at Fred Meyer but fled the store on foot prior to officers arriving.  Bend Police Officers were able to take Brewster into custody a short time later near the store.

As the investigation continued, it was determined that Brewster was in possession of stolen property located in his residence and vehicles.  Bend Police applied for and were granted a search warrant to search Brewster’s residence and two vehicles.  Numerous suspected stolen items were recovered during the execution of the search warrant.

Brewster was arrested and lodged on the following charges, Identity theft, Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card, Unlawful Entry to a Motor Vehicle, Aggravated Theft I from a Building and Theft II.

This investigation is ongoing into this case and there is a possibility of additional criminal charges being filed against Brewster and other individuals.

The Bend Police ask if you were the victim of a recent theft, car break-in or fraudulent credit card charges and have not reported it to please file an online report or call the Bend Police Department non-emergency number at 541-693-6911.  Officers are working to identify additional victims and return property to the legal owner.  Please be aware that when identifying property, it is important to include serial numbers, personal markings or other specific identifying markings.
