Narrative:

On February 11th at about 9:00 AM, Bend Police Officers responded to the area of NE Butler Mkt. Rd. and NE Wells Acres Rd. for a reported male walking in a bathrobe carrying a knife.  It was reported that the male was “acting” like he was throwing the knife at passing vehicles.  Bend Police Officers contacted the male, later identified as Gabriel Richards, near the entrance to Burning Tree Village, 1700 NE Wells Acres Rd.  Richards was uncooperative and threw the knife in the direction of officers.   The officers successfully negotiated Richards into custody without further incident.  Richards was taken to St. Charles Medical Center for evaluation.
