7 Vehicle Hit & Run leads to Arrest of Bend Man - 02/04/19

Suspect: Kevin Warren Jackson / 29 year old Bend Resident

 

Narrative:

On February 2nd 2019 around 11:12 PM, Officers with the Bend Police Department were dispatched to the area of Ensworth Elementary School on a report of a motor vehicle crash that involved multiple vehicles. While officers were responding, they were advised that the driver of a gray Jeep had crashed into seven vehicles and then crashed into a tree in front of the school. Witnesses also reported that the driver of the Jeep, later identified as Kevin Jackson, had fled the scene on foot.

Officers arrived in the area and located Jackson running through the parking lot of Summit Park Apartments located at 2017 NE Full Moon Drive. Jackson was taken into custody without incident and transported to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend for evaluation. Jackson was later transported to the Deschutes County Jail where he was booked on the below charges.

While investigating the incident, officers learned that Jackson crashed into seven unoccupied vehicles that were parked along Dagget Lane before crashing into a tree and running from the scene. Jackson sustained only minor injuries during the incident.
