****UPDATED (8-21-18)****
Suspect:
Tashina Aleine Jordan 28 year old Bend resident
Victim:
Male juvenile 7 year old Bend resident
Narrative:
On August 20 at 5:46pm Bend Police and Bend Fire and Rescue responded to 20064 Mount Hope Drive for the report of a female found unconscious inside the residence. A family member located Tashina Jordan unresponsive inside the house and alerted Deschutes County 911.
The family member and first responders provided life saving measures on Tashina Jordan in the house. She was transported to St. Charles Bend, where she is currently suffering from a life-threatening condition.
First responders located a seven year old male child inside the residence with a fatal gunshot wound. The child was identified as Tashina’s son.
Evidence present, to include notes left at the scene, led the investigators to believe that Tashina is a suspect in the shooting of her child. Tashina attempted suicide, which is the cause of her life-threatening condition.
The investigation is continuing with help from our partners with the Oregon State Police Crime Lab, the Deschutes County District Attorney’s Office, Redmond Police Department and the Department of Human Services in this investigation.
