Structure Fire on NW Fresno Avenue

Bend Fire & Rescue crews responded to a reported structure fire on NW Fresno Avenue just before 9 a.m. this morning. 

Firefighters arrived within four minutes of the first 911 call and quickly knocked down the fire. No one was home at the time of the fire. Traffic access on NW 13th Street was closed for a short period for fire operations.  

The cause of the fire is accidental. The estimated loss is $315,449 for both structure and contents.    

On behalf of Bend Fire, we want to express our sincere gratitude to the alert community members who quickly called 911 after spotting smoke. Their fast action and immediate reporting allowed emergency crews to respond without delay and decrease the amount of damage to the structure and personal items. Thank you for your vigilance and for looking out for your neighbors.
