All recreational fires and shooting activities are banned during the red flag warning. Briquette BBQs, propane BBQs, and pellet fired cooking appliances are not included in this ban but still need to be operated with extreme caution. Once the red flag warning expires, compliant recreational fires and shooting activities are allowed again. Similar restrictions are being put in place by other local fire agencies as well. Always check for specific fire restrictions where you live or are visiting before starting any fire.

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 700 Central Mountains of Oregon.
* TIMING...From 11AM to 11 PM PDT Saturday
* WINDS...West 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 15 percent.
* IMPACTS... This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION as extreme Fire Weather concerns will be present. Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
