Beaverton Police Seeking Additional Rape Victims Following Grand Jury Indictment (Photo) - 07/15/26

In June of this year the Beaverton Police Department began an investigation into 24-year-old Abdullah Al-Bustami of Portland after an adult female victim alleged he met her at her place of work and later raped her.

The victim told investigators she first met Al-Bustami when he came into the store where she was working. They exchanged phone numbers and began talking. Al-Bustami later offered the victim a ride home. Once in his vehicle, Al-Bustami allegedly drove to a secluded parking lot and raped the victim.

On July 8, 2026, Beaverton police officers contacted Al-Bustami and arrested him. On July 14, 2026, a Washington County Grand Jury indicted Al-Bustami on the following charges.

  • Rape in the First Degree
  • Sodomy in the First Degree (three counts)
  • Sexual Abuse in the First Degree (four counts)

Al-Bustami is currently in custody at the Washington County Jail.

Based on the nature of this case, Beaverton police detectives believe there may be additional

victims in the greater Portland metropolitan area and the Salem area who have not yet come forward.

Anyone who believes they may have been a victim of Abdullah Al-Bustami, or who has information related to this investigation, is urged to contact Detective Daniel Tuite with the Beaverton Police Department at dtuite@beavertonoregon.gov.
