Detectives Arrest Beaverton Man For Murder - 02/27/23

Last Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 10:22 PM, officers from the Beaverton Police Department responded to a 911 report requesting a welfare check on the person(s) at 1050 SW 160th Ave. in Beaverton, Oregon.

Upon arrival, officers located 24-year-old Oulaykham Mona Chopheng, who was deceased. Beaverton police detectives immediately began an investigation into Chopheng’s death.

Early on Friday, February 24, 2023, detectives arrested Chopheng’s husband, 19-year-old Talon Gabriel Mitchell of Beaverton, for the murder of his wife. Mitchell is facing charges of Murder in the Second Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. At the time of this writing, Mitchell is in custody at the Washington County Jail.
