On Monday August 13th, 2018, our Traffic Safety Team will conduct a crosswalk/pedestrian safety mission at SW Watson Ave/ SW 2nd Ave. The Team will focus on drivers who do not stop for a pedestrian in the crosswalk.
Crosswalk rules can be confusing depending on the type of intersection. Beaverton Police Department teaches a one-hour crosswalk diversion class, which, once completed, allows the dismissal of any crosswalk citations that may be issued. Please always watch for pedestrians in crosswalks.
