Felony Elude Suspect Arrested (Photo) - 03/14/18

On March 14th, 2018 Beaverton Police Department arrested 25-year-old Fredrico Alvarez for reckless driving, felony elude and misdemeanor elude.

At 8:34 PM a Beaverton Police officer attempted to stop the vehicle driven by Alvarez for reckless driving on Hwy 217. Alvarez pulled over near SW Roxberry Ave/SW Walker Rd then tried to flee the scene in his car. The officer performed a PIT maneuver to disable Alvarez's vehicle but was unsuccessful. Alvarez drove another block before disabling his own vehicle by crashing into the center median on SW Walker Rd.

Alvarez fled the scene on foot. A K9 team tracked Alvarez and located him in the area of SW 113th/ SW Cabot. Alvarez told the officers he ran because he didn't have a valid license. Trimet Max trains were delayed because Alvarez was running on the tracks but they are now back in service. Alvarez was lodged at Washington County Jail.
