On March 13th, 2018 Reachana Chan, a Beaverton resident, was arrested and lodged at Washington County Jail. On March 9th, 2018 a Washington County Grand Jury indicted Mr. Chan for the following crimes:
1 Count of sex abuse in the 2nd degree
1 Count of luring a minor
4 Counts of sex abuse in the 3rd degree
In November of 2014 and April of 2015, Mr. Chan is alleged to have had unwanted sexual contact with two different minor children. The minors were 16 years old at the time and Mr. Chan was 20 years old. Mr. Chan allegedly met the victims online and convinced them to meet in person where the crimes occurred.
Because of the alleged nature in which Mr. Chan contacted his victims, Beaverton Police Detectives believe there may be additional victims. Any additional victims are urged to contact Beaverton Police Department at 503-629-0111.
