News Release
Linn-Benton Alert Emergency Notification System Test - 10/13/20

Benton County Sheriff's Office would like to announce a test of the Linn-Benton ALERT system on Saturday October 31st 2020, at 2pm. The test will cover all of Benton County traditional land phone lines in our 911 database. Residents who have registered other devices with the system, will also receive the test message.

We would like to ask recipients of the alert to confirm receipt of the message on each phone or device. There will be no reason to call our office once you receive the message.

The Linn-Benton ALERT Emergency Notification System is a mass notification system that allows public safety officials to provide rapid notifications to Linn and Benton County residents for emergencies, evacuations, and other urgent events.

If you haven't signed up for Linn-Benton Alerts, we would like to take this opportunity to encourage you to do so. This will allow you to receive all Benton County emergency related notifications pertinent to your location. You choose how and where to receive alerts, including your cell, home, and/or work phone, by email, text messages, or TTY (hearing impaired devices) and more.
