Holiday DUII Stats (Photo) - 01/08/18

CORVALLIS, Ore. -- The Benton County Sheriff's Office participated in extra DUII patrol December 13, 2017 through January 1, 2018, to coincide with the holidays, responding to regular calls for service, as well as the extra patrol.

During those 19 days, five drivers were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and two were arrested for driving under the influence of drugs.

Deputies also issued 66 citations for speeding, four to drivers using their cell phone while driving, two citations for Minor in Possession of alcohol, and cited 26 people for driving with a suspended license.

Benton County Sheriff's Office's next DUII Saturation Patrol is scheduled for Super Bowl weekend, February 2-5, 2018. Our office will be targeting drivers under the influence of alcohol, controlled substances, and inhalants.

Oregon's DUII enforcement program is committed to reducing the amount of crashes and impaired drivers on our roadways by keeping them off the roadway and arresting them when they choose to drive. For more information on impaired driving, visit www.StopImpairedDriving.com.
