Significant Fentanyl Arrest Made In The 300 Block Of Alameda Avenue (Photo) -07/29/24
Eric M. Christensen, age 52, of Astoria, was arrested on July 27, 2024, in the 300 Block of Alameda Avenue and charged with:
- Unlawful Delivery of a Schedule II Controlled Substance (Fentanyl) – Super Substantial Quantity
- Unlawful Delivery of a Schedule II Controlled Substance (Fentanyl)
- Unlawful Delivery of Heroin
- Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine
- Unlawful Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance – Substantial Quantity
- Unlawful Possession of Heroin – Substantial Quantity
- Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine
- Felon in Possession of a Restricted Weapon
On July 27, 2024, at approximately 7:15 p.m., Sergeant Duryea was in the 300 Block of Alameda Avenue, clearing another call for service, when he observed Eric Christensen slumped over in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. He contacted Christensen and observed a large quantity of suspected fentanyl in his lap. Sergeant Duryea attempted to render aid to Christensen for what appeared to be an overdose and ultimately arrested him after a short struggle. A search incident to the arrest revealed:
- 142.6 grams of fentanyl powder
- 7.7 grams of methamphetamine
- 21.4 grams of heroin
- $6,010 cash
- one restricted weapon
Christensen was arraigned this afternoon and held in custody on $250,000 bail. Clatsop County Deputy District Attorney Sarah Shepherd said that this is the largest powdered fentanyl seizure the County has seen.
