On Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 12:44 a.m., Albany Police Officers arrested a third juvenile involved in the Assault/Hate Crime that occurred on April 13, 2021 at Swanson Park in Albany.
The arrest of this 16-year-old male juvenile occurred without incident. The juvenile was taken to the Linn-Benton Detention Facility and lodged on the following charges:
- Assault in the Third Degree
- Conspiracy to Commit Assault in the Third Degree
- Bias Crime in the First Degree
- Tampering with a Witness
Albany Police Department Detectives are continuing the investigation, attempting to locate additional juvenile suspects in this investigation. Albany Police are encouraging involved suspects and/or parents of the suspects to contact the Detective Division and turn themselves in.
