News Release
Armed Robbery -- Albany Police Department Case 18-6888 - 08/10/18

On Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at 2:36 a.m., Albany Police responded to an armed robbery report at the Yellow Flamingo, a video lottery establishment located at 1119 Santiam Road SE, Albany, Oregon.  Police were notified that an unidentified male suspect, wearing dark clothing, a mask, and gloves, entered the business around 1:55 a.m., and was armed with a handgun.    

The suspect forced a male employee into a back office and handcuffed the employee to a door before leaving the business with an undisclosed amount of money.  A person who cleans the establishment arrived approximately 40 minutes after the robbery occurred, found the employee handcuffed to an office door and reported the incident to police.
