Albany Police Arrest Vandalism Suspect-- Albany Police Department Case 18-3489 - 05/11/18

During the early morning hours of April 29, 2018, a white male adult caused extensive damage to planters, flower pots and newly planted trees in the Albany Downtown area.  On May 10, 2018, the Albany Police Department asked for the public’s assistance in identifying photos of a male subject captured on several video surveillance systems.

On Friday, May 11, 2018, at approximately 10:00 a.m., 29-year-old Albany resident, Nicholas Randklev, came to the Albany Police Department after learning about the social media release regarding the vandalism investigation. 

Randklev identified himself as the person in the photographs and was interviewed at the department.  Randklev was arrested and issued a criminal citation into Linn County Circuit Court for Criminal Mischief in the First Degree.
