The Albany Fire Department supports an annual Toy Drive supporting children in Linn County DHS programs. You can drop off a new, unwrapped toy to one of five Albany Fire Stations, Albany City Hall, or South Pacific Auto Sales. A list of age appropriate toys can be found at cityofalbany.net/fire. Each fire station has an external phone or doorbell the public can use to contact firefighters at the station. City Hall is open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. South Pacific Auto Sales is open daily; Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Last year's toy drive benefitted over 250 children. The Department also supports toy purchases by spending $1,000 dollars from the Albany Firefighter Community Assistance Fund, AFD's 501c3, which supports community members in need.
