Staff Changes at AARP Oregon (Photo) - 08/13/19

Andrea Meyer, JD, has accepted the position of associate state director of advocacy and outreach for AARP Oregon. “Andrea will work to advance AARP’s state and federal legislative agendas in addition to working closely with our statewide network of volunteers and business and community organizations on community outreach efforts,” said AARP Oregon State Director Ruby Haughton-Pitts.


Meyer comes to AARP with a strong history with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).  First as Legislative Director/Counsel with the Oregon affiliate and then as Director of Affiliate Legislative Programs with National.  She received a Bachelor of Arts from Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio and her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon.


AARP Oregon is the premier organization for people 50+ and their families with more than 510,000 members in the state of Oregon.
