North Franklin School District Superintendent Gregg Taylor Announces Resignation - 10/24/17

Connell, WA -- At their regular meeting on Monday, October 23rd, the board of directors for the North Franklin School District (NFSD), accepted the resignation of Superintendent Gregg Taylor, effective June 30th, 2018. Taylor is stepping down as superintendent to pursue other interests and opportunities.

Superintendent Taylor has led the North Franklin School District for the past 10 years with more than 25 years in public education. Throughout his career, Superintendent Taylor has served in numerous positions at NFSD including high school teacher, summer school director, elementary principal, federal programs director, superintendent and numerous other educational and community boards.

Under the leadership of Superintendent Taylor, NFSD has expanded its staff, facilities and program offerings exponentially. Taylor believed that through high expectations, collaboration, continuous improvement, customer service and doing "whatever it takes", anything could be accomplished. On behalf of the NFSD Board of Directors, Chairperson Kara Booker stated, "Gregg has been such a staple in our school district for so many years that it is difficult to envision it without him. However, because of his quality leadership as superintendent, our district is in a positive and healthy state which will significantly help facilitate a smooth transition moving forward. As board members, having the opportunity to work with Gregg has been a very rewarding experience. We are excited for him as he considers other career opportunities."

In planning for Superintendent Taylor's departure, NFSD board members will begin the discussion and formal process of replacing Superintendent Taylor at the next regularly scheduled board meeting on Monday, November 13th, at 5:30 p.m.
