Search Warrant Results in Arrest of Redmond Man for Possession of Fentanyl and Stolen Property (Photo) - 09/22/22

Troy Schaffner, 30 year old male, Redmond, OR

Charges: 

PCS II (possession of fentanyl)

Mail theft

Theft III

 

NARRATIVE:

The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit conducted a short term investigation into Troy Schaffner for possession of fentanyl pills and possession of stolen property. On September 21, 2022 at approximately 3:39 PM, Street Crimes Detectives executed a search warrant at Schaffner’s residence. 

During the investigation and search warrant execution, a commercial quantity of counterfeit oxycodone pills containing fentanyl was located. Detectives also located numerous pieces of stolen mail to include checks, credit/debit cards and stolen vehicle license plates.

Schaffner was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Jail where he was lodged on the above listed charges. 

Street Crimes Detectives were assisted by the Central Oregon Drug Enforcement Team. 

This is an ongoing investigation and additional charges may follow.
